Deja Vu All Over Again
At the beginning of 2017, when you know who was inaugurated for the first time, Indivisible Ohio District 12 (the former name of Indivisible Central Ohio) held its first meeting in the sanctuary at the UU Church on Weisheimer. It was a big one! (You might be able to see photos of our 2017 meeting here.)
We’re not quitters! Eight years later and we’re still here, ready to do it all over again.
Whether you are brand new to this group, have been with us since the beginning, or something in between, please plan to join us on Saturday, February 8, from 1-2:30pm for our 2025 kickoff!
This is a chance to orient new members, re-energize “old” members, and recruit for specific projects and plans. We’re interested in your ideas and input. Please join us!
Ramp Up for Repro
From Abortion Forward: Want to help protect abortion rights in Ohio, but not sure where to start? There are many ways to join the movement for reproductive freedom — if you're not sure where to start, you're looking for more information, or want to deepen your involvement, then join Abortion Forward as we Ramp Up for Repro!
Our monthly Ramp Up for Repro trainings will further acquaint you with political advocacy tactics, repro lingo, and help you find the best way to get involved. Every month, we’ll dive into movement ecology, abortion messaging, the current landscape of abortion access, and provide next steps for you to take action!
The majority of the content of this training does not change between sessions, with the exception of current events and policy updates. Registration for Upcoming Ramp Up for Repro trainings are:

Join the Thursday Action Group for a Special Zoom Meeting, Thursday, 1/16
This week's action is to get prepared! With the inauguration around the corner, something of great concern to many is protecting vulnerable community members from Trump’s deportation plans. The Thursday Action Group is holding a special meeting Thursday, Jan. 16 at 1pm to talk about this topic, specifically about reaching out to local school boards and city councils to encourage them to be ready to take action.
Join Link for the Zoom Meeting, Thursday, January 16, 1pm.
Their guest will be Joseph Mas, who testified before Columbus City Council in 2017 when the council was trying to figure out how to best protect community members from Trump’s deportation plans during his first term. For reference, see this video. Mr. Mas recently wrote this column, published in the Dispatch on 1/10/25. Also, this article discusses how some school boards are working to protect vulnerable members of their communities. Looking forward to seeing you there!
