LEAD Ohio 2022 Candidate Training Academy

LEAD Ohio is now accepting applications for their 2022 Candidate Training Academy. This intensive training series is provided over the course of 6 weekends and provides nearly 50 hours of education and mentorship from Ohio's most knowledgeable campaign experts. Trainees will be exposed to all facets of campaigning and leave the Academy well positioned to run a successful campaign for elected office.

Who should apply?
LEAD is looking to train potential candidates to run in the 2022 election and beyond. This training is designed for anyone who is remotely considering running for any of the following offices in the next year, whether or not you have made any formal plans to do so:

• Statewide office (Attorney General, Secretary of State, etc)

• US Congress

• State Legislature (House or Senate)

• County Executive offices (Commissioner, Auditor, Treasurer, etc) - Sheriff or Prosecutor

• Judicial Office

• Local Office (City Council, Township Trustee, School board)

One of the goals at LEAD Ohio is to help train those who are underrepresented in government and politics, particularly women, people of color and those in the LGBTQ+ community. While they place a special emphasis on recruiting these individuals, their classes are diverse and all are welcome to apply. Apply HERE.
