Relief, then more sorrow and anger

In Columbus, the profound relief we all felt on hearing the Chauvin verdict was upended with the horrifying news of another police killing. We'll learn more in the next days and weeks, but no matter what, 16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant should still be alive today. Here are some things to do:

• Check our FB page announcements or website for any related fundraisers or events we post in the next day or two.

• Get involved with the Ohio Chapter of Moms Demand Action as they continue their active fight against all forms of gun violence, including police-initiated gun violence. Text JOIN at 64433, or join through website MOMSDEMANDACTION.org.

• Support Black-led criminal justice and racial justice reform efforts here in Columbus (and check our Facebook page for specifics when we have them);

• Take action (see details below) against oppressive anti-protest bills currently making their way through the Ohio House and Senate.
