Did you know that WTF stands for Waving Toward Freedom? Well, it did today on North Broadway and Milton as residents took up signs and costumes for a neighborhood “wave”/protest party!
What started as a local get-together as a “Halloween Wave” during spooky season along Broadway has morphed into a more political action, yet still retains the similar festive vibe as the fall tradition.
Around 20+ folks showed up for initial wave, with more scheduled every second Friday of the month!
The inaugural wave proved to be a low-stakes, fun way to make local connections, get some supportive honks from fellow democracy-lovers behind the wheel, and even breathe some extra life into last year’s Halloween costume!
